Professional Biography

Vincent Igenoza is an Associate at Osuji & Smith Lawyers, bringing over two decades of cross-jurisdictional legal experience across Nigeria and Canada. His practice focuses on Immigration & Refugee Law, Employment & Labour Law, Civil Litigation, Business & Corporate Law, and Administrative Law, with a growing emphasis on advising businesses, professionals, and entrepreneurs navigating complex regulatory and commercial matters.

Originally from Benin City, Nigeria, Vincent earned his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Ambrose Alli University in 2003 and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2005. He began his legal career with Yesufu Osawaru & Co., where he built a strong foundation in family law, civil litigation, and immigration matters while serving clients across Nigeria, Europe, and the United States.

After over a decade in legal practice, Vincent relocated to the United States and eventually settled in Calgary in 2020. Committed to expanding his legal credentials internationally, he completed a post-graduate certificate in law at the University of Calgary in 2022 and was called to the Alberta Bar as a Barrister and Solicitor in 2025. His dual-licensing in both Nigeria and Canada provides clients with the benefit of a broad legal perspective and multicultural understanding.

Prior to his call to the Alberta Bar, Vincent practised as a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant, gaining valuable experience assisting individuals, families, skilled workers, and businesses with Canadian immigration matters. He later contributed to the Immigration Division at Osuji & Smith Lawyers, further strengthening his ability to guide clients through complex immigration frameworks and cross-border legal challenges.

Vincent is known for his practical, solutions-oriented approach to legal representation and his ability to balance strategic legal guidance with clear communication. His cross-border legal background allows him to effectively assist clients navigating international mobility, workplace disputes, regulatory compliance, and evolving business needs.

Outside of his legal practice, Vincent enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, reading, cycling, playing ping pong, and exploring his passion for cooking and hospitality.
