Lucy obtained her Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Health & Society from York University in Toronto, where her academic work focused on ageism, social policy, welfare, and the social determinants of health. She later earned her Common Law Degree (LL.B.) from the University of Buea in Cameroon, West Africa, before being called to the Alberta Bar in 2021.
