Professional Biography

Enaya Emuveyan is an Associate at Osuji & Smith Lawyers with extensive experience in litigation support, employment law, privacy, compliance, and legal operations. He brings over a decade of legal experience across Canada and Nigeria.

In practice, Enaya supports matters involving Civil Litigation, Employment Law, Privacy Law Compliance, Corporate Law, and Intellectual Property. His work includes drafting and reviewing pleadings, demand letters, strategic correspondence, affidavits, settlement terms, and other litigation materials.

Enaya also contributes to the firm’s corporate client services by assisting with corporate filings, annual returns, and routine corporate maintenance to help ensure records are accurate, current, and compliant.

In his compliance role, Enaya supports firm-wide adherence to internal policies, professional obligations, privacy/confidentiality standards, documentation controls, and process improvement. His previous privacy and compliance experience includes conducting privacy impact assessments, supporting data protection initiatives, managing compliance records, and assisting with privacy-related investigations and reporting.

Before joining Osuji & Smith, Enaya practised law in Nigeria, where he gained significant experience in Labour and Employment Law, Trade Union Litigation, Collective Bargaining, Litigation, Arbitration, Mediation, Regulatory Compliance, and Corporate Advisory work. He appeared before various courts and tribunals, including the National Industrial Court of Nigeria, the Industrial Arbitration Panel, the Federal High Court, and the Court of Appeal.

Enaya holds an LL.B. and LL.M. from the University of Lagos. He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2014 and the Alberta Bar in 2026.
