Professional Biography

Patricia Uduebor is an Associate at Osuji & Smith Lawyers, bringing nearly a decade of legal experience spanning complex Litigation, Employment Law, Corporate and Commercial advisory, and dispute resolution. Called to the Nigerian Bar in 2016 as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, Patricia has built a strong foundation in high-stakes advocacy, strategic legal analysis, and sophisticated legal drafting.

With 10 years of post-call legal experience, Patricia has been involved in several high-profile litigation and advisory matters. She served as part of legal teams representing the Federal Government of Nigeria in complex disputes involving Exploration and Production (E&P) companies related to the recovery of undeclared and under-declared crude oil. She also contributed to legal teams representing major International Oil Companies in multi-billion naira oil spill claims and worked on matters involving one of Africa’s largest telecommunications operators, further strengthening her experience in sophisticated litigation and corporate advisory work.

Patricia is recognized for her analytical thinking, attention to detail, and practical problem-solving approach. Her strengths include legal research and analysis, advocacy, negotiation, legal drafting, and the preparation of complex legal documents. She approaches legal matters with professionalism, precision, and a strong commitment to delivering thoughtful and effective legal solutions.

Since relocating to Canada, Patricia successfully completed the Practice Readiness Education Program (PREP) through the Canadian Centre for Professional Legal Education (CPLED) and was called to the Alberta Bar in 2026.

Patricia is passionate about continuous learning, community engagement, and initiatives promoting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) within both the legal profession and the broader community.

Outside of work, Patricia loves dancing, finds cooking therapeutic and she enjoys travelling.

Patricia is currently on maternity leave and looks forward to reconnecting with clients upon her return.
